Large format exhibition catalog (14” x 12”) featuring Robinson Jeffers poetry set to illustrations by Robert Motherwell and photographs by his wife, Renate Ponsold. Edited by Constance W Glenn and published by California State University, Long Beach in 1981 as part of a trade edition of 1,500 copies. 51 pages, plain sewn paper wraps laid in gray heavy paper dust jacket with the title printed in black on the front. Inscribed on the FFE by Renate Ponsold to the renowned art historian and critic Dore Ashton and her second husband Matti Meged. With a note laid in from “Carla” whose house in Tuscany is featured in the book. Rubbing and bumping to the dust jacket, with a 1 inch non-displaced tear on the bottom edge. Contents clean and tight.
