First edition book chronicling and interpreting British sculptor Sir Antony Gormley’s project for The Landmark Trust. In celebration of its 50th anniversary in 2015, the Trust commissioned Gormley to install life-size cast iron sculptures at five landmark sites across the British Isles, on view from May 2015 to May 2016. Published in 2016 by The Landmark Trust, with text by Jeanette Winterson and photographs by Clare Richardson. Antony Gormley is one of the UK's most distinguished contemporary artists. He won the Turner Prize in 1994 and has been a member of the Royal Academy since 2003. Gormley was made an Officer of the British Empire in 1997 and knighted in 2014. Novelist Jeannette Winterson is a regular contributor of reviews and articles to many newspapers and journals and has a regular column published in The Guardian. Clare Richardson has exhibited at White Cube, Ffotogallery Cardiff, the Victoria and Albert Museum and as part of the John Kobal Photographic Prize at the National Portrait Gallery, London. Small 8vo (5.25” x 8”), hardcover with applied printed labels, 120 pages with 30 color photographs. Signed on the half title page in red ink by Antony Gormley and in black ink by Jeannette Winterson.
