Founded in 1959 by Ernesto Gismondi and Sergio Mazza, the company produced such icons of Italian Rational design as the Tizio and Boalum lamps, the Toga and Stadio chairs, and the Tantalo clock; their products garnered numerous design awards and earned placement in the permanent collections of museums worldwide including MoMA and the Met in NYC, the Musee des arts Decoratifs de Montreal, and the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna in Rome.
