Alphabetical tabs each featuring a black-and-white photograph of an artist (A for Anuszkiewicz, B for Bailey, etc) associated with the Whitney. All photos taken by Marvin W. Schwartz, who was commissioned by the Whitney to interview and photograph the selected artists. Edited by Jean Lipman and Doris Palca, with a cover design by Robert Indiana.
