Ben Nicholson: Recent Work (Inscribed by Artist)

$350.00

Catalog published to coincide with an exhibition of new works by British abstract artist Ben Nicholson, held June-July 1966 at Zurich’s Galerie Gimpel & Hanover. 8vo, pictorial wrappers, 72 unnumbered pages with 29 full-page plates in color and black-and-white. Text in English with an introduction by A.M. Hammacher. Inscribed by the artist to the American art collector and gallerist Eleanor Block Saidenberg and her husband Daniel. Eleanor Saidenberg’s NYC gallery was Picasso’s primary U.S. representative from 1955-1973; the program also included Klee, Braque, Kandinsky, Gris, and Miro. Light bumping and soiling to extremities. A nice association copy.
