Borge Mogensen/Illums Bolighus Catalog
Catalog of furniture and accessory designs by Danish master Borge Mogensen, produced in Sweden by AB Karl Andersson & Sons for distribution by the Danish emporium Illums Bolighus. Published circa 1961. Features Mogensen’s acclaimed Oresund series of chairs, tables, modular case pieces and wall units, introduced in 1955, and composed primarily of teak and oak. Along with his Shaker-inspired Asserbo series of chairs, benches, tables, and hanging shelving, designed first for his own residence, composed of Oregon pine, and introduced in 1961. Plus accessories including desk and kitchen organizers. The layout includes an image of each design along with curatorial information including model number, materials, measurements, and pricing. 8vo (9” x 8.25”), printed wrappers, 26 pages with b/w photos and diagrams. Damp staining to front wrapper and spine, affecting all leaves to different degrees. Bumping to extremities, especially at spine and corners of textblock. Light creasing to front wrapper, with three minor closed tears. Mild foxing to rear wrapper.
