Cassina: Le Corbusier
Catalog of designs by Le Corbusier re-issued by Cassina as part of their Cassina I Maestri collection. Published in 1988. Cassina originally acquired the exclusive rights to reproduction in 1964, putting back into production the models LC1, LC2, LC3, and LC4 in 1965, while Corbusier was still alive. Cassina subsequently collaborated with the Fondation Le Corbusier and with Charlotte Perriand on additional re-issues and revisions, resulting in the present lineup of 1988. Included are the chairs and seating Basculant (LC1), Grand Confort (LC2, LC3), Chaise (LC4), the LC6 table, the Tournant chair and stools (LC7, 8), the stool LC9, the tables LC10-P and LC11-P, and the LC-Casiers Standard. Included are introductory remarks, entries for each item with color photos, some full-page, and at the rear production specifications plus press and exhibition references and images. Valuable reference source for documenting the Cassina productions and their variations—including where to look for the Cassina marks. 4to (8.5” x 11”), pictorial wrappers, 40 pages, b/w and color illustrations. Text in Italian, English, German, and French. Minor bumping and light rubbing to extremities. Contents near fine.
