[SIGNED] Eugenio Carmi Serigraph "CLAP CLAP" (greeting card/poster)

$1,250.00

New Year’s greeting ushering in the year 1967 mailed out by renowned Italian artist and educator Eugenio Carmi (1920-2016). Folds out to a serigraph measuring 39.25” x 26.75”. This example sent to the Philadelphia-based educator and graphic designer Paul Schaub. The red and green color scheme adds a Christmas seasons greetings element. Carmi was a leading exponent of abstract art in Italy and a close friend of Umberto Eco, with whom he collaborated on several projects. Signed by Carmi and dated “66” (when it was executed). Addressed to Schaub at Moore College in Philadelphia; sent in February 1967. A fragile and likely highly scarce item. Folds, toning, and rippling throughout with a 2” tear upper left and several minor edge tears. Pin holes at edges.
