
































Jeanne-Claude Memorial Tote Bag (with book and ephemera)
Gift bag with book and DVD given to guests at the memorial service for artist Jeanne-Claude, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on April 26, 2010. The tote bag itself, produced by Jean Claude’s close friend Issey Miyake, bears the image of Christo’s Wrapped Portrait of Jeanne-Claude, 1963. The book, titled Jeanne-Claude, June 13, 1935-November 18, 2009, measures 8.5 × 11”, has 48 unnumbered pages on glossy paper, chiefly portraits in b/w and color. Included is a DVD titled Nomad of Art: a Film Montage/by Antonio Ferrara, includes footage from numerous films documenting the projects of Jeanne-Claude and Christo. Also included in the bag are a few items of ephemera from the previous owner: Two invitation tickets to the Boathouse venue; and an invitation/announcement card from the Metropolitan Museum of Art.. In excellent condition all around—basically untouched.
