Early small-press collection by the American experimental poet Fanny Howe (1940-2025), published in 1988 by Parentheses Writing Series. First edition, small 8vo, printed wrappers, unpaginated. Inscribed by Howe on the title page: “For Gerard / on Staten Island / 3/29/91 — / with gratitude that / you were here — / at my reading — / Fanny Howe.” A particularly strong association copy, inscribed to poet Gerard Rizza (1959–1992) and documenting his presence at a Howe reading on Staten Island little more than a year before his death. Rizza, associated with the later New York School and Poetry Project milieu, published his sole collection, Regard for Junction, in 1992 with an introduction by Bernadette Mayer. From Rizza’s estate. Light bumping to spine tail. Otherwise near fine.
